Spreading the word of God through His people.
Hello, my name is Yanni Pang, and thank you for visiting my missions page. This year, I am going to Guatemala. This is my third missions trip with Grace Chapel. I really treasure these trips because they allow me to use a different perspective to see the world. It has allowed me to realize that what I have is a blessing, and everything I have should not be taken for granted. I really enjoy helping those who need it. We will be doing construction work, hosting a Vacation Bible School for the local children, and connecting with local families. My financial need is $1700, and will be used towards, travel, housing, food, and supplies for the trip. Every contribution counts, and prayer is great for spiritual support. I will need prayer for safety, wellbeing, and strength. Letters of support can be sent to my email at email@example.com. You can help support my trip by clicking the "Donate" button on the right, or simply by praying for me, and my team.
Here is some more extra information about Guatemala: Guatemala is a beautiful country called “The Land of the Eternal Spring,” with its green landscapes and mystical volcanoes. Tourism has become one of the main drivers of the economy, Guatemala receives about two million tourists annually. Guatemala has a population of 15 million people, which 48% are children whom can't go to school, live in poverty and suffer many injustices. There is more to poverty than we realize. Poverty is more than a lack of money or resources, it has to do with an individual’s whole being. Potters House is a Christ-centered organization that has been fighting poverty and serving at-rick children and youth in Guatemala. Their vision is that every child and youth, through a personal relationship with God, would pursue a holistic development and help to fight against poverty by influencing the family, community and nation. On this trip we will partner with Potters House by running a VBS, offering a free sports camp, and doing prayer walks or meet some needs of the community by helping with construction projects. Thank you all for your support!
